As we approach our three year anniversary of continuous programs and events, the Thabaat community is honored to invite you to our third annual fundraising banquet. 🎉
Join our community alongside our esteemed scholars and leaders Mufti Abdul Rahman Waheed and Shaykh Abdul Aziz Waheed, as we discuss this year’s theme: Strength in Sincerity.
Early Bird Tickets are $20 until January 5th! Tickets $30 after. Group discounts are available online at check-out.

Free babysitting available! Please register all children for babysitting at least 48 hours prior to the event so we are able to plan for their attendance! Register and agree to babysitting terms here.
Refund Policy: If you would like a refund, please email contact@thabaat.org. Refunds will not be made within 48 hours of the event. Please ensure any refund requests are made before this period.
Our media team takes pictures and videos at most events, most of which are group shots that appear for a few seconds. If you’d like to request not to be included in any shots, please let us know at the check-in table so we can tell the media team!

Event Speakers

Shaykh Abdul Aziz Waheed is the Resident Scholar of Thabaat. He is a Co-founder of Miftaah Institute and also serves as Dean of Academic Affairs at Michigan Islamic Institute. He began Islamic studies at Jaamiah al-Uloom al-Islamiyyah, where he became a Hafiz. He started his 7 year Shariah program in Toronto, Canada and graduated with honors, receiving Ijazzat for teaching Hadith from prominent scholars from around the world.

Tareq Tamr is the Program Director at Thabaat and the Head of Engagement at Yaqeen Institute for Islamic Research. He studied Psychology with a minor in Philosophy and is continuing Islamic Studies on a part-time basis. He grew up in Windsor, ON and has served the local community as a youth director, khateeb, and lecturer for youth and young professionals.

Mufti Abdul Rahman Waheed was born and raised in Lansing, MI. As a youth, he displayed zeal and enthusiasm to involve himself in the religious sciences. At just 9 years of age, Mufti Abdul Rahman went to Toronto, Canada to pursue his dreams of becoming a Hafidh of the Holy Qur'an. Thereafter, Mufti Abdul Rahman traveled to Pakistan to continue his passion to seek knowledge where he completed his 2 year Iftaa program which specializes in Islamic Jurisprudence and Law. Mufti Abdul Rahman is serving as a principal and is a full-time instructor at Michigan Islamic Institute, the brother organization of Miftaah Institute. He travels across North America as a khateeb and lecturer.
