Beyond the Self

First Thursday, Monthly
Kitab at Miftaah Cafe

In an age that glorifies the individual, spirituality can be emptied of its true purpose, reduced to serving the ego rather than leading the soul to its Creator. The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) taught us: “The best of you are those who are best to their families.” From the home to the wider world, our relationships become a living measure of our faith.

Beyond the Self is a monthly gathering for young professionals exploring relational spirituality—how faith can shape the ways we treat one another in our families, friendships, and communities, so that our connections draw us nearer to Allah.

Join scholar and therapist Sh. Tariq Musleh and Br. Tareq Tamr for a monthly gathering, with a different discussion topic each month. Doors open with social hour and breakout conversations at 7pm in the Kitab at Miftaah Cafe, followed by a fireside chat from 8-9pm, primarily for ages 30 and older.

Free babysitting: Please register all children for babysitting at least 48 hours prior to the event so we are able to plan for their presence. Please register and agree to the terms here.
